Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, Ilala Lodge, where you will spend the night. The rest of the day will be at your leisure, to relax beside the pool or participate in some of the optional activities available. This afternoon, relax on the Zambezi River on a sunset cruise, the Ra-Ikane.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN VICTORIA FALLS

Popular optional activities on offer in Victoria Falls include a scenic Helicopter Flight, Flying Fox (Cable Slide), Gorge Swing, Bungee Jumping, Zip Lining, Bridge Slide as well as the Canopy Tour. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. All activities are subject to availability and may require a minimum amount of passengers to operate. Certain activities only operate at specific times of the year. Day 2: Mana Pools National Park

After breakfast you will depart to Victoria Falls Airport, where you will embark on your charter flight to Mana Main Airstrip. The next three nights will be spent in Mana Pools National Park at Camp Mana where you will have an authentic safari experience. At Camp Mana you will enjoy scheduled activities at your leisure.

The life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions, designated as the country’s second World Heritage Site and known as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing regions. 

 

Day 3: Mana Pools National Park

Game Drives

A game drive through Mana Pools National Park is a gift to the senses. Immersed beneath the Albida Forest, golden light streaming through the trees, one feels encased in magic. Mana Pools is wild – the perfect park to encounter the untamed and unpredictable in the safe presence of a professional guide, revealing its wonders as you traverse its terrain.

Game Walks

Mana on foot is an invitation for adventure and immersion into the delicate nature of the ecosystem. Being a small park holding big treasures, Mana Pools offers much to explore, accessing the more remote locations by embarking on a walking safari. Explore the riverbanks in search of the elusive Carmine beeeater, or walk beneath the trees along ancient animal corridors, following in the footsteps of giants. 

Canoeing 

Canoeing the Zambezi River must be one of the most beautiful wilderness experiences to offer. Opt for either a half or  full day Canoeing trip  out of Camp Mana and have the opportunity for game-viewing from the river with our highly experienced professional guides.

Day 5: Lake Kariba

This morning you will have an air transfer to Kariba Airport, where you will be met by a guide and transferred to Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel, set on a mountainside with sweeping views of the lake and the surrounding islands. The next two days will be spent on ultimate relaxation at the pool side, or enjoy a catamaran experience.

Day 6: Lake Kariba

Catamaran Experience

The catamarans at Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel provide an extremely unique and immersive sunset experience. Powered by the wind, with a backup motor for quieter days, sail into the sunset, feasting on the view as well as delicious snacks prepared by the lodge. Dare to take a dip in the safety net attached to the boat, glass of wine and courage in hand as you cool off in Lake Kariba waters.

Day 7: Hwange National Park

This morning you will have an air transfer to Robins Airstrip, where you will be met by a guide and transferred to the intimate Nantwich Lodge, which is situated on a private concession in Northern Hwange National Park. After lunch and a siesta you will have the option of going on an afternoon game drive, or you can also visit our safari hide where you can game view from a whole new perspective.

Day 8: Hwange National Park

The next two days are spent on  game drives in the Hwange National Park, the largest national park in Zimbabwe, covering an area of approx. 14 650 km2. Named after a local chief, Hwange is situated in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Victoria Falls. There are over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded here. Specifically, the elephant population in Hwange is considered world famous, as it is one of the largest in the world.

Our safari ends after breakfast. You will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport in time for your departure flight. We hope to welcome you again one day on another of our African adventures!
