Located northwest of Nairobi, south of Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate National Park gets its name from its pair of massive red tinged cliffs which frame its natural hot geysers. The spectacular scenery, complete with rock towers, volcanoes, and geysers with plumes of geothermal steam, is dominated by these sheer cliffs. Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of activities such as: biking through this beautiful landscape, exploring the Njorowa Gorges, discovering two extinct volcanoes – Olkaira and Hobley’s, and camping under the sparkling Kenyan night sky. Popular activities include: walking safaris, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking and game viewing. Commonly spotted wildlife include: giraffe, zebra, eland, gazelle, buffalo, zebras, hartebeests, baboons and over 100 bird species.
